Urea-Solution Atomization in a Marine Diesel Engine
We supported a European marine diesel engine manufacturer in the design process of a novel SCR system by performing CFD simulations and supplying twin-fluid injection lances. The steady-state and transient CFD simulations comprised the urea-solution atomization and decomposition within the exhaust gas flow of the engine. The study provided valuable insight into the process.
Currently, our atomizing nozzles are part of the SCR test facility of the engine manufacturer.
