CFD Simulation of the SNCR Chemistry in a Waste Incineration Facility in Italy

We determined the optimum urea-solution injector positioning in a waste incineration facility in Italy with help of a detailed CFD simulation model of the boiler. The model included the relevant processes such as the flue gas flow and temperature fields, the urea-solution atomization, evaporation and decomposition, as well as the SNCR chemistry. Additionally, we supplied our in-house twin-fluid injection lances

In the mean time, the facility is successfuly in operation.The NOx-abatement goals are being reached without any problems.
