Profile and Background
Flowtech Industries AG
is an engineering, consulting and manufacturing company. We are a team
of long experienced engineers in fluid dynamics and mechanical
engineering.
Environmental engineering is our key market field and flue gas cleaning processes are our specialty.
Flowtech has
developed proprietary know-how, methods and techniques with the aim of
reducing the nitrogen oxide emissions in coal fired power plants, waste
incineration sites and diesel / gas engines, among other systems which
generate byproducts from the combustion of fossil fuels known as DeNOx-Systems.
Flue gas cleaning systems are designed and optimzed by Flowtech
for further engineering companies and end users. In addition to this,
key components for these processes are manufactured and delivered to
the costumer.
Our background are 10 years of experience in all kinds of fluid dynamic
processes. Flowtech is independent and privately owned by Bernhard Hug.
All Flowtech engineers have practical experience in fluid dynamics and manufacturing technology.

Remark
NOx is mostly originated from the combustion of fossil fuels in power
plants or heavy traffic. Lung diseases and ozone in ground proximity
are the effects. The SCR (selective catalytic reduction) system is one
of the most efficient DeNOx technologies applied for the reduction of
NOx emissions. NOx removal rates of up to 90% are
standard.
The
illustration on the left shows the worldwide nitrogen oxide
concentration. The data was gathered by the european environmental
satellite ENVISAT over a period of time of 18 months. Particularly high
concentrations were observed in large urban and industrial
conglomerations in North America, Europe and the northeast of China.
